A solo exhibition titled ‘After the Fall’ presenting the works of well-known artist Dhruvi Acharya is on view at Chemould Prescott Road, Mumbai from October 15 through November 19, 2016.
A little something about the artist Dhruvi Acharya – She is an Indian artist, known for her psychologically complex and visually layered paintings, often accented with dark humour. dhruvi-acharya-2016-1

I was super excited to be there as the theme of her work, ‘After the fall’ spoke to me .When you enter the gallery, you start relating to the paintings as if they are depicting your own experiences. In her new paintings and a large site specific soft-sculptural installation, artist Dhruvi Acharya tries to investigate what happens to the mind, body and soul when one experiences that which is unfathomable, irreversible and unpredictable. The visual detailing in Acharya’s work makes viewers to reflect on their own experiences and sentiments.
The famed Mumbai artist’s show explores the journey of reconstructing the self after loss.
